Cultural Events in the city in April

The Salone del Mobile is just ended, but the activities to do in Milan are not lacking: in today’s post we’ll announce all the events not to miss during the month of April, to be lived with your family, in couple or with friends.

Trasformers Art.

Until may 1 at the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia.

Are you big fans of the cartoon or comic strip dedicated to the Transformers? Now you can see them live in all their greatness. For the first time the Trasformers Art comes to Italy, an exhibition where you can admire giant robots made of recycled materials, such as scrap of cars or trucks, taken directly from landfills.

The idea came to Danilo Baletic, a young Montenegrin man, having the intention of raising awareness on the issue of the use of waste as a resource and the creative re-use of them. Are you impressed? We recommend you to do a jump there.

Andy Warhol. Sixty last suppers.

Until 18 May at the Museo del Novecento.

When the Last Supper by Leonardo and the creativity of Andy Warhol meet each other, what may come out? A unique and original opera, of course! At the Museo del Novecento, you can’t not go to see the latest work by this great artist that is never been exhibited in Italy and was completed just before his death 30 years ago.

An opportunity to understand the ideas and thoughts of the father of  the Pop Art that led to create with his unique techniques a black and white canvas with a meaning to be discovered.

Manet e la Parigi moderna.

Until 2 July at Palazzo Reale.

If you visited Paris and got fascinated, this is the show for you. Thanks to the Museum d’Orsay, the Palazzo Reale will host all the works that marked the artistic career of Manet. The artist wants to celebrate the modernity that had marked that period through paintings that represent the Paris of the time in all its glory.

From portraits to landscape and to the women, it’s an exhibition of over 40 paintings that pay tribute not only to Manet, but also to all the great artists that have been part of the current of Impressionism.

Kandinskij, il cavaliere errante.

 Until 9 July at Mudec.

If you want to make a trip but don’t have in mind a precise idea, you should come to the MUDEC – Museo delle culture to live again all the path that characterized the career of the founder of abstractionism, Kandinskij. A journey that will make you notice how the artist brought his paintings towards abstraction without giving up with his beloved Russian landscapes.

The goal is to take the viewer to understanding what the artist wants to transmit through his works. A visual, tactile and even sound path that will make you live an experience like never before.

LOVE. L’arte contemporanea incontra l’amore.

Until 23 July at the Museo della Permanente.

A show that has already enjoyed a lot of success, especially among young people, is ready to bring a bit of romance in Milan. At the Museo della Permanente, will be exhibited 39 works of artists through the contemporary art they wanted to represent love in all its facets.

The public during the visit can become the protagonist of a collective work. With the colored markers made available to all are able to leave a sign with a sentence or simply with a signature giving free rein to their imagination. You feel creative? Don’t miss the chance to prove it!
