Finally the summer has arrived and what is better than spending a day listening only to the sounds offered by nature? If you think that in Milan all this is not possible, you are mistaken.
Located behind the Castello Sforzesco, Parco Sempione is considered one of the most green spaces in Milan. With its 386.000 square meters of surface, it offers to its residents a charming place, rich in vegetation, suitable both for spending a day in peace and for practicing sports in open air, thanks to its eight paths and a basketball field where, if you are lucky, you will find as your opponents the champions of Olimpia Milano.
Inside it you can find a number of historic buildings that we recommend you to visit: the Arena Civica, the Arco della Pace, the Ponte delle Sirenette and the Torre Littoria. Don’t miss the Acquario Civico di Milano, the third oldest in the world: thanks to its many attractions, it entertains both adults and kids. If you just can’t give up studying or reading a good book, there is also a Library, a building considered to be one of the most interesting examples of the Italian architecture. A perfect place where nature is definitely the protagonist!
Giardino della Guastalla.
Considered to be the most ancient in Milan, the Giardino della Guastalla is a small place but full of history to tell. Just 10 minutes by car from you apartment you can discover its architectural heritage, surrounded by the vegetation cured in a perfect manner.
Inside, the garden is home to a delightful fish tank of the 17th century, still full of fishes, replacing the original pond.
It’s also called “the garden of children” because, thanks to its many areas dedicated to kids, they can play and have fun in full contact with nature. If you want to have an alternative lunch break, this garden is for you!
Grande Parco Forlanini.
Located in Viale Forlanini, in front of the airport of Linate, the Grande Parco Forlanini is an area dedicated to greenery and sport thanks to its numerous cycle paths and a Percorso Vita that fitness enthusiasts can’t non provare. Recently renovated, the park preserves the characteristic farmhouses surrounded by different types of vegetation and numerous animals that are the background of the park.
Inside it you will see the famous Bosco dei Faggi, a place created in memory of the 118 victims who lost their lives on 8 October 2001 in an accident at Linate airport.

A few steps away from San Siro, the Bosco in città is perfect to escape the daily routine and immerse yourself in a place where there is peace and tranquility. Barbecues, picnics, cycling and even equestrian itineraries: the forest offers many ways to have fun and spend a different day from the usual.
There are many events organized by the Centro Forestazione Urbana inside the park during the year. A place well maintained with corners all to be discovered, you can’t miss a visit there!
The Parco Lambro is a place that will make you lose in a charming nature. During spring you can see a super-colorful show thanks to its rich vegetation.
Thanks to the Ecological Guards of the Park, who have renovated the park recently, it’s possible to observe an educational botanical trail. If you do not recognize any plant, don’t worry, you can find tags with the description of each on it.. They’ve thought of everything!
From the Residenza Ascanio Sforza you can easily reach all the means of transport that will take you to visit these amazing places immersed in the green.
